ULICHNY
UPDATES

April 14-  I wanted to check in and thank those of you who came all the way out to Grove City for the show at The Lot, and of course thank Lackluster and Bluebird for having me on the bill.   Those guys sounded fantastic, and it was a treat to share the stage with them.

I'll be playing a live solo concert this Saturday at The Wild Goose Creative (2491 Summit St., Columbus) with local talent Jonathan DePaso.  Really looking forward to this show... it's going to be a blast!  Come on out and support a good cause, and remember to byob!  Cheers

Feb. 28- I've posted a few new tunes over the past couple of weeks--Glass Eye and Compromise--and I'm excited to finally have these recorded, though they are still rough demos. Both songs really showcase the live looping set up, progressively building layers as they move along.

I've also had the pleasure of sitting in and jamming with a great local group, Noisette, at Olfield's on Monday nights. These guys have a great jazz-fusion-funk-groove thing with an experimental bend that is slammin'! Be sure to stop by, show starts at 10:00.

Feb. 2- Back again after the holidays and a long January working on tunes and setting up shop here in Columbus. A few things to note: I am now teaching private lessons at Upper Arlington Music Academy and am thrilled to be working alongside phenomenal instructors. I've also had some great gigs and and have to thank all of you who came out and showed your support, especially for the last minute Skully's show. Keep an eye out for upcoming performances with some great musicians I've been collaborating with lately...more to come! Cheers

Dec. 15- I've been whittling away on the new tunes, making progress but still have plenty of work to do.  Planning on hunkering down for the holidays and keeping at it, with more postings coming by the New Year.  Here's a little sample of what's in store on the new album, a mellow instrumental opening up with the clay (udu) drum. Hope you like it! Also be sure to check out the "Shop" link as I've made a few of the new tunes available for download. Thanks for checking in, Cheers

Nov. 24- Last weeks Writer's Harvest event was a blast, and a good time was had by all. The event raised over $600 dollars for the Ohio Food Bank, and I was happy to be a part of the show.

Also this past week, I had a fantastic discussion with WCRS FM, and they will be airing the 1/2 hour interview tonight and next Monday from 7:00pm to 7:30 on 98.3 Fm. We discussed the significance of cross culturization in music, my personal backround and interest in different ethnic percussion instruments and cultures, and I performed a few pieces as well. Thanks again to Carlotta and Marissa for their professionalism, time and interest.

Looking forward to recording the latest tune, As Honest As. It's a heavy hittin' song, and I'm excited to post the first demo of it within the next day or two. The official CD will be out soon and I'm hammering away details for the recording sessions now. If you are interested in pre-ordering the album for a discount, please contact me for details. And as always, thanks for checking out the site! Cheers
